Service call $89 to $119, waived with repair. Most repairs $175 to $400

A dishwasher that quits is an inconvenience until the family realizes how many dishes it was doing. Most dishwasher calls end as one part: a drain pump, an inlet valve, a door latch or a control board, and the common ones for Bosch, KitchenAid and Whirlpool ride on the truck.

Problems we fix

  • Not draining, from filters and drain hoses to the drain pump and check valve.
  • Not cleaning or leaving grit and film: spray arms, wash pump, circulation motor, inlet valve, filter.
  • Leaking from the door gasket, pump seal, inlet valve or a cracked tub, including leaks that only show up under the floor.
  • Won't start or no power: door latch, control panel, thermal fuse, main board.
  • Not drying: heating element, vent, or rinse aid dispenser.
  • Error codes on the display, which point to the failed component on current models.
  • Noisy operation from a failed pump or debris in the chopper.

Dishwasher Repair questions

There's water in the bottom of my dishwasher after the cycle. What is it?

A clogged filter or drain, a failed drain pump, or a check valve stuck open. If a garbage disposal was recently installed, the knockout plug on its dishwasher inlet may never have been removed, which blocks the drain completely. The technician checks all of it.

My dishes come out dirty and gritty. Is the dishwasher failing?

Usually it is a clogged filter, a spray arm blocked with debris, a failed wash pump or circulation motor, or a water inlet valve that is not filling fully. Palm Beach County tap water is pumped from limestone aquifers and stays on the hard side even after the county and city plants lime soften or membrane treat it, and the Acreage and Loxahatchee run on private wells with iron and hardness, so inlet valves, screens, filters and ice maker molds scale up faster than the manufacturer expects.
